Anatec has extensive
experience in performing transportation risk assessments.
We have recently undertaken
two detailed studies to investigate the risk associated with different
routeing options for the transportation of radioactive material
and hydrocarbon waste.
This included assessment of
three modes of transport:
• Road (via HGV)
• Rail
• Sea
Extensive analysis of historical
accident data was performed to ensure the risk models were appropriately
calibrated against the latest experience.
The studies concluded by recommending
the optimal route based on minimising the risk of an accident.
