Anatec's staff have carried out traffic surveys and analysed traffic survey data from over 100 surveys. As well as developing standardised data collection forms, we can interface with a variety of radar equipment and support automatic tracking and acquisition of shipping data from both ARPA and REWS. At Anatec we also have a variety of systems in place to support the management and interpretation of the data to demonstrate the shipping pattern and ships behaviour in the survey area. The results of these types of studies have helped oil and gas operators manage the risks associated with passing traffic, the government with their decision making process when assessing consent applications and the coastguard in the evaluation of compliance with routeing measures.

Anatec have developed the ShipRoutes shipping traffic database and our personnel have vast experience in its use, having developed and managed similar developments on behalf of the DTLR, UKOOA & HSE over the last 5 years.
