Anatec personnel have considerable
experience of assessing the risk of collision between vessels and
offshore installations. The approach we adopt involves analysing
extensive historical collision data which forms the basis for the
evaluation of the likely frequency and consequence of collision
for any given area. The work our engineers have been involved in
is forefront within this field having led to serveral publications
and software developments.
We have extensive experience
of passing and infield vessel risk assessment for:
•
FPSO's
• Satellite platforms (monopods, etc)
• Bridge linked complexes
• Floating storage units
• Drilling rigs (jack-ups, semi submersibles)
In the analysis of in-field vessel collisions
we have carried out assessments on the risk of impacts associated
with visiting shuttle tankers, supply vessels, dive support vessels,
survey vessels and attendant standby vessels.
Our staff have participated extensively in
research in this field mainly through projects carried out on
behalf of the Health & Safety Executive. This research has
been aimed at increasing the understanding of this major hazard
and promoting its effective management.
